Abstract
This article seeks to discuss the importance that dissident gender identities are finally gaining representativeness in relationship apps, bringing as main focus the context of these identities in Brazil, since our country is in first place in the ranking of murders of transsexual people and transgender people. To understand this context, we will bring studies about gender, relationship and virtual contexts. Focusing on the Tinder app and one of its latest updates released in some countries, the article aims at a case study and a bibliographic review on the usability and the importance of initiatives like this reaching countries with this high rate of violence. We hope that with this article we can alert about registered transphobic violence and publicize the importance of representativeness as a way of raising awareness.
